Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder found in adults and children alike. It is a process that consists of irregular breathing habits, most often associated with restricted or blocked airways. It can affect us for a variety of reasons and in a variety of ways. In some instances, your airway could be physically blocked, or perhaps your brain is simply failing to send the signal to your muscles to inhale and exhale properly while sleeping.
